Peashooter

P-26 Peashooter
There are a few drawings I've done that leave me going back to observe the details. This is one of them. This is a P-26 Peashooter, and it took me about an hour and a half to draw from start-to-finish. It was my first drawing using color. I like to stick with a plain old pencil when I draw my normal portraits. As with the fishing reel, I was really out of my norm as far as drawing subjects goes. When I drew this I had all intentions to start drawing aircraft.
Let's flash forward about 3 years and I'm just now getting serious aviation art along with just practicing my skills. I am excited for what I will learn and I am sure this will be a new challenge. Airplanes are very precise, and I will have to be just as precise with my pencil.
